Field of Dreams plans five holiday events for "Tis the Season" series

REAL DUBUQUE NEWS (RDN) The Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville is bringing the holiday season to the "This is Iowa" ballpark with a five-event series called "Tis the Season," running Nov. 28 through Dec. 19. The lineup includes the Hall of Trees and a Tree Lighting Ceremony, a one-night holiday restaurant overlooking the field, a whisky tasting with former Major League pitcher Drew Storen, Breakfast with Santa, and a free winter carnival. Keith Rahe, the executive director of Dyersville Events, said in a statement: "So many memories have been made at the Field of Dreams Movie Site over the years. We wanted to trade the magic of summer nights here for holiday lights. That's what this event series will do. 'Tis the Season gives families a reason to gather here in winter and make new holiday traditions of their own." The site has details for those interested in attending.
