Arraignment Date Set For Dubuque Man Facing Attempted Murder Charges For Attack On Dubuque Police Officer

The arraignment date for a Dubuque man charged with the attempted murder of Dubuque Police Officer is set. On Monday 30-year old Shane Nomadis was ordered to appear November 2nd in Dubuque County District to enter a plea to the charges.

Nomadis was arrested following the incident during the early morning hours of October 10th at a home in the 100 block of East 12th Street. Authorities say they were initially called to the home for a domestic disturbance. Officer Bill Dieujuste was injured when Nomadis jumped from the top of a stairway at him, kicking him in the face and then placing him in a choke hold.
