REAL DUBUQUE NEWS (RDN) DES MOINES: President Donald Trump closed his Iowa midterm push Monday with a tele-rally for Iowa voters, dialing into a mass telephone broadcast one day before Election Day. The Iowa call was the final leg of a 72-hour sprint of tele-rallies across 19 states that MAGA Inc announced Thursday, Oct. 29, with Trump as the special guest, according to Reuters and the Des Moines Register. An Iowa Republican operative told the Register the Iowa tele-rally would be held Monday, Nov. 2, and the Associated Press reported Monday that Trump was scheduled to hold nine tele-rallies that day, speaking for about 10 minutes on mass phone calls to supporters. The Iowa call was announced in support of U.S. Senate nominee Ashley Hinson, gubernatorial nominee Zach Lahn, 3rd District Rep. Zach Nunn and other Iowa Republicans, KGLO and the Indo-Asian News Service reported. In a Truth Social post Sunday, Trump put his full Iowa slate in writing, listing Hinson for Senate, Lahn for governor, Brenna Bird for attorney general, and U.S. House candidates Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01), Joe Mitchell (IA-02), Nunn (IA-03) and Chris McGowan (IA-04), and writing, "These Great Patriots have my Complete and Total Endorsement -- They will never let you down!" RNC chairman Joe Gruters said of the sprint, "Voters across the country want to hear from President Trump before Election Day, and this 72-hour sprint will be a huge boost in the closing days." The phone format is a sprint: the Associated Press reported the tele-rallies run about 10 minutes each, compared with speeches of 90 minutes or longer at traditional rallies. Trump spent the rest of Election Eve in Washington, where the AP reported he delivered a Monday speech at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool rather than barnstorming. The tele-rally was a separate, additional event from Sunday's in-person rally at Dubuque's Five Flags Center, which went ahead as scheduled and was recapped separately by Real Dubuque News. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
