Dubuque County Supervisors Continue Study on Data Center Noise Impacts

Dubuque County officials are continuing their assessment of potential health and environmental impacts stemming from noise generated by large-scale data center infrastructure. As part of a county-wide moratorium on such developments adopted in July, the Board of Supervisors is preparing for a series of town hall sessions set to begin in October. These sessions are intended to gather public feedback regarding noise concerns and development standards. Following the conclusion of the forums, the county expects to release an initial public draft outlining future regulatory guidelines for data center operations in the region.
