Dubuque police officers arrested Shawn Vaassen, 31, of Dubuque, on Monday afternoon following a reported disturbance in the 200 block of Mercy Drive.
According to official police dispatch records and jail booking logs, units responded to the Mercy medical campus area shortly after 4:00 p.m. Vaassen was secured by responding patrol officers at 4:16 p.m. without further incident.
Vaassen was transported to the Dubuque County Jail and booked on initial formal counts under case file #43798. He is currently held on a ,000 cash bond pending an initial appearance scheduled for Tuesday morning in Dubuque County District Court.
