A 58-year-old man from Platteville, named Scott R. Floerke, sustained injuries in a UTV accident on Sunday morning in Lima Township, as reported by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 6:29 a.m., Floerke was heading east on Richter Road when he attempted to make a right turn at the intersection with Banner Road.
The UTV flipped over, trapping Floerke beneath it. However, a good Samaritan was able to assist him before deputies arrived at the scene. Floerke was initially taken to Southwest Health Center in Platteville and subsequently transferred to UW-Hospital in Madison for advanced medical treatment.
Responding to the incident were wardens from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Southwest Health Center EMS, and Precision Towing based in Platteville. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the matter.
