PLATTEVILLE, WI – The Pine Street Water Main Replacement Project is scheduled to commence on Monday, June 30, 2025, representing a significant enhancement to the infrastructure within the City of Platteville. This initiative aims to undertake essential repairs to guarantee the dependable operation of the water system for both residents and businesses.
Motorists and local citizens should be aware of the following modifications to traffic and parking during the construction phase:
• Pine Street: The westbound lane will be closed from Water Street to Chestnut Street, while the eastbound lane will remain accessible.
• Furnace Street: Designated as a one-way westbound route between Water Street and Chestnut Street, serving as the authorized detour for westbound vehicles only.
• Chestnut Street: Parking restrictions will be enforced near Furnace Street to facilitate the turning movements of semi-trucks onto the street.
To keep the community updated, Delta 3 Engineering will issue regular email notifications. Individuals who participated in the recent Public Information meeting and provided their email addresses will automatically receive these updates. Others who wish to stay informed can reach out to Maggie Husemann at [email protected] to join the email list.
