East Dubuque’s 2025 Independence Day Fireworks Dazzle with Community Backing

EAST DUBUQUE, Illinois — On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the skies over East Dubuque will be illuminated with a magnificent fireworks display as the city revives its beloved Independence Day celebration. This year’s event was made possible thanks to the generosity of local donors and the hard work of the EDGE Foundation. The festivities were almost put on hold due to funding issues but received timely contributions that saved the day.

The festivities are set to commence at 5:30 p.m. in downtown East Dubuque, promising a family-friendly atmosphere complete with complimentary inflatable rides for children and live music played by the band Unicorn Fist from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The night will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display scheduled to commence at 10:00 p.m., lighting up the Mississippi River and attracting both residents and visitors to join the celebration of Independence Day.
