Urgent Update: Dubuque Police Probe Hempstead High School Staff Member for Disseminating Inappropriate Student Images Online

DUBUQUE, Iowa – On April 2, 2025, the Dubuque Police Department received a notification from the Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force regarding a case associated with suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), which had been flagged by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The suspect has been identified as a resident of Dubuque County, currently employed at Hempstead High School. Following the notification, the Dubuque Community School District was alerted, and the individual was placed on administrative leave. The ongoing investigation delves into computer-generated images involving students, among various other forms of CSAM. Authorities are reaching out to affected students and their families, with intentions to connect with additional victims as they are identified.
