Dubuque Pools Welcome the 2025 Season with Budget-Friendly Passes and Special Discounts

DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Flora and Sutton Pools have officially opened their doors for the 2025 swimming season as of Tuesday, May 27, inviting residents to enjoy the water during the hot summer days. The Dubuque Parks and Recreation Department announced pre-season hours running until June 6, which include: Monday to Friday, 7-9 a.m. for adult swim, 12-1 p.m. for both adult swim and a water playground (ages 5 and under), 1-4:30 p.m. for open swim, and 6-8 p.m. for another session of open swim. For the weekend of May 31 and June 1, hours will be set from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for adult swim and water playground, followed by open swim from 1-4:30 p.m. Regular season hours will commence on June 7.

Dubuque residents can purchase annual pool passes priced at $42 for youth (ages 4-17), $74 for adults (18+), and $53 for seniors (55+). Notably, children aged 3 and below can swim for free. These passes are available for purchase online at http://www.cityofdubuque.org/pools or directly at the Parks & Recreation Office located at 1157 Central Ave. First-time purchasers must visit the office to take a photo and collect their pass, whereas renewals can be processed online. Please note that pool passes are not sold at the pools themselves.

Additionally, special discount programs are in place, offering a 50% discount to income-qualified residents without existing scholarship credits. The Parks & Recreation Department has made available up to 300 low-income families scholarship credits totaling $150 that can be used for pool passes, valid until June 30, 2025.
