Trio of Arrests in Dubuque on November 14th: Shoplifting, Assault, and Malicious Prosecution

Three individuals were arrested in Dubuque on November 14th, with charges ranging from shoplifting to assault. The first arrest occurred at 770 Iowa St when Marissa Lea Ernzen (28) was taken into custody for Malicious Prosecution.

At 4200 Dodge St, two separate incidents unfolded, resulting in arrests. Caissa Sue Tuley (28) was charged with Theft 5th Degree – Shoplifting at 9:28 am. Meanwhile, April Janine Saunders (54) was arrested for Assault-General at 12:55 pm.

It’s worth noting that the majority of these arrests occurred during daylight hours, highlighting the importance of community vigilance and awareness. These incidents serve as a reminder to be mindful of one’s surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

Under Iowa law, Ernzen could face penalties including fines up to $5,000 and imprisonment for up to five years. Tuley may be subject to fines up to $2,500 and imprisonment for up to one year. Saunders’ punishment could range from a simple fine to imprisonment for up to two years.
