An Extreme Heat Watch will be in effect from the morning of Wednesday, July 22, 2025, until the evening of Thursday, July 23, 2025, for the following regions: In Illinois, the counties of Carroll, Jo Daviess, Stephenson, and Whiteside; and in Iowa, the counties of Clinton, Jackson, Jones, Buchanan, Delaware, and Dubuque. With dangerously high temperatures coupled with humidity, heat index values could soar to as high as 110 degrees. Residents are urged to implement all necessary precautions during this time.
