W. 10th St. Temporarily Closed between Main St. and Locust St.

Due to private crane construction activities, W. 10th St. will be closed to traffic from Main St. to Locust St. starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, and will remain closed until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9.

Drivers are advised to follow the posted detours or seek alternative routes during this closure period. You can access a map of the current road closures and detours here.

Governor Reynolds endorses legislation to revamp unemployment insurance tax system.

DES MOINES— Today, Governor Kim Reynolds enacted SF 607, a legislation that reduces the taxable wage base for unemployment insurance and lowers the upper limit on the unemployment insurance tax rate. “On average, Iowans are securing new employment in just nine weeks.
