The incident that led to this charge occurred on February 2, 2025, when Ruggirello was accused of using a baseball bat during a domestic abuse assault. As part of a plea agreement, the original charge was modified.
On February 18, 2025, Judge Mark T. Hostager imposed a sentence of 20 days in jail along with a $105 fine for Ruggirello.
