Single-Vehicle Rollover Accident Injures Teen in Hazel Green Township

CUBA CITY, WI — On June 14, 2025, at approximately 12:18 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Model Road, located east of County Highway H in Hazel Green Township.Upon investigation, deputies found that 19-year-old Taylor Droessler, a resident of Cuba City, was driving a 2009 Toyota Prius eastbound when he became distracted while adjusting his radio. This distraction caused the vehicle to drift onto the south shoulder, leading Droessler to over-correct. The Prius subsequently slid into the north-side ditch, hit an embankment, and rolled over approximately three times before coming to rest in a nearby corn field.Droessler, who was wearing his seatbelt, managed to exit the vehicle unassisted and was subsequently transported to Southwest Health Center for treatment of his injuries. It was noted that the airbags did not deploy during the incident. The extensively damaged Prius was towed from the scene.Assistance at the scene was provided by the Hazel Green Fire Department, Hazel Green EMS, and Automotion Towing.
