DUBUQUE, Iowa — Early Friday morning, a 20-year-old individual was apprehended on charges of domestic abuse assault against a pregnant woman, specifically for impeding air or blood flow, classified as a felony.
Edwin Jaheim Ventura was detained at 4:25 a.m. at the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center located at 770 Iowa St., as per the records from Dubuque police. The alleged incident took place at the Law Enforcement Center, which contains both the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and the county jail.
At this time, authorities have not disclosed additional details regarding the incident or the victim’s condition. Ventura remains in custody at the Dubuque County Jail awaiting upcoming legal proceedings.
