DUBUQUE, Iowa — A 20-year-old male, Edwin Jaheim Ventura, was apprehended early Friday morning on charges of domestic abuse assault against a pregnant individual, specifically for impeding breath or blood flow, which is classified as a felony.
Ventura was arrested at 4:25 a.m. at the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center, located at 770 Iowa St., as reported by the Dubuque police records. The alleged incident took place within the premises of the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center, where the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and county jail are situated.
Details regarding the incident and the victim’s condition have not yet been disclosed by authorities. Ventura is currently being held at the Dubuque County Jail as he awaits further legal action.
