Deadly Solo Motorcycle Accident in Grant County

**GRANT COUNTY, WI – On June 6, 2025, at 8:30 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of a fatal single-vehicle motorcycle accident at the junction of County Trunk Highway C (CTH C) and County Trunk Highway X (CTH X) in the Township of Wyalusing.**

**Investigators discovered that Ryan Phillips, 43, from Peosta, IA, was operating his 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle heading south on CTH C when he failed to obey the stop sign at CTH X. He proceeded through the intersection, collided with a curb on the southern side of CTH X, which resulted in him being thrown from the bike.**

**Bagley First Responders and West Grant Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived quickly at the crash site and transported Phillips to Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie du Chien, where he was later pronounced deceased. The motorcycle suffered extensive damage and was subsequently towed away by Doan’s Towing.**

**The incident saw assistance from multiple agencies, including West Grant EMS, Bagley First Responders, and the Bloomington Fire Department. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.**
