DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa — Beginning at 7:00 AM on Monday, June 16, 2025, Bennettville Road will be closed due to a bridge replacement project, as announced by Dubuque County officials. This construction project will cover a distance of 0.85 miles, from Higginsport Road to Hartman Road, with the road completely shut down at the bridge site throughout the construction period.
The undertaking will involve the demolition of the existing bridge and its replacement. County officials project that the work will take approximately 15 to 18 weeks to complete, subject to weather conditions. Motorists are urged to find alternative routes during this time, as no through traffic will be allowed in the construction zone.
