**LANCASTER, WI – On May 31, 2025, around 11:19 a.m., an accident involving three motorcycles transpired on Highway 81, close to Aupperle Road in the Township of South Lancaster during a charity ride. A substantial group of motorcyclists riding east faced challenging roadway conditions that caused the lead riders to brake suddenly, resulting in a bottleneck situation.**

**The riders involved were identified as Juan Solis, 48, from Deforest, WI, operating a 1995 Harley Davidson; Jacob Kerns, 42, from Madison, WI, riding a 2017 Harley Davidson; and Wayne Bloedow, 64, of Viroqua, WI, on a 2006 Harley Davidson. In their efforts to avoid potential collisions with other motorcycles, all three lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into a ditch. Fortunately, the riders sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and were subsequently transported to local hospitals for medical attention.**

**Highway 81 was temporarily closed for about 20 minutes between the Lancaster roundabout and Ellenboro while authorities managed the situation. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office, along with assistance from the Lancaster Police Department, Lancaster EMS, Lancaster Fire Department, and Southwest Health EMS, responded promptly to the scene.**

**This incident is currently under investigation.**
