**DUBUQUE, Iowa — On May 30, 2025, at approximately 6:16 a.m., 28-year-old Joey Kanakanui Lopes was apprehended at 2825 Pennsylvania Ave, Dubuque. His arrest followed a report filed with local police authorities. Lopes faces multiple charges: willful injury causing bodily injury (a felony), domestic abuse assault impeding air/blood flow causing bodily injury (also a felony), domestic abuse assault resulting in injury (a misdemeanor), and child endangerment (a misdemeanor).**
