Dubuque Teen Involved In Shooting A Dubuque Home In March 2021 Pleads Guilty

Charles Tyler took a plea deal for his involvement in a home shooting. Tyler could receive a sentence up to seven years and sentencing is set for May.

In March 2021 Shelby M. Strong, 35, identified all three suspects to Dubuque Police reporting they were acquaintances of her children. She Identified Charles Tyler 18, a 16-year-old male B. D, M. and A-J-C, a 17-year-old, as the suspect who fired a gun at her home.

All three fled in a vehicle that was tracked with traffic cams. to the Liquor Tobacco and Gas on Central Avenue. The two juveniles tried running from officers, but were quickly taken into custody a short-distance away. Officers also found a 9 mm handgun inside the vehicle.
